Welcome to P5C
P5 have taken part in a Science challenge where we had to build our own cars. We used wood, glue, wood saw, batteries, motors, wheels and rubber bands. The challenge is to see who's car can carry 15 marbles across the school hall.
In Numeracy we have studies addition and subtraction presenting our work using chimney sums. We have also used directional language and maps to plot a route within Elgin.
In Literacy we have been writing Poems, Recounts, Instructions and writing our weekly journal. Our class novel this term is Harriet's Hare a brilliant Dick King-Smith book. P5 vocalise their ideas very well and are confident at getting their ideas across.
In Health and Wellbeing we are covering Rights Respecting Schools and UNCRC artiles of the rights of the child. More recently the children have been learning about the SHANARRI wheel.
