Religious Observance

The school follows the Curriculum for Excellence guidelines on Religious and Moral Education, the guidance given in SOED circular 6/19 and Moray Council Policy. Copies of these documents are held in school.

The school is non-denominational. Religious Observance will take account of the predominantly Christian context within Moray but may also reflect other religious traditions. Assembly is held weekly and is taken by the Head Teacher, School Chaplain, Teachers or classes. The School Chaplain is Rev. Swanson who looks after the parishes of both St. Giles and St. Columba’s churches.

Children may be withdrawn from Religious Observance at parents’/carers’ request.
